Inspiring
Communities
Experienced, motivating, and talented speakers leading customized presentations for community groups and schools — giving your group a jumping-off point for envisioning a better world.
Customized programs that spark real change
What BETTER Looks Like brings experienced, motivating, and talented speakers directly to your community. We don’t deliver one-size-fits-all presentations — every program is thoughtfully adapted to your group’s specific purpose, goals, and identity.
Whether you’re working with students, community organizers, faith groups, or civic leaders, our programs give participants the tools, inspiration, and sense of collective possibility they need to envision and create a better world — starting right where they are.
Five signature presentations
Each program is a distinct experience — built around a powerful central idea and adapted to meet your group exactly where they are. All can be tailored in length, depth, and focus.
20 Gandhis
It took one leader using only non-violent means to change the lives of 300 million people under British rule. Let’s do the math — how many would it take to change a world of 8 billion? Participants explore what it looks like to use individual and collective power to make a better world.
01
Pursuit of Happiness
At some point on the road to happiness, we reach an intersection where passion and excellence meet a need in the world — and our life’s work emerges. This program encourages participants to uncover how they would like to make their greatest impact. Happiness isn’t just personal — it’s a social imperative.
02
Using Art to Imagine New Visions
We all want our world to be better — but how do we start? Artistic expression activities give participants opportunities to explore how to imagine and create the changes they envision for themselves and their community. Creativity becomes a tool for transformation.
03
Connection Circles
Through the inspiration of story, directed activities, and the support of others, participants are motivated to see their own specific talents, abilities, and life possibilities in a new, meaningful, and creative light. Community as mirror — and as catalyst.
04
Creating Compassionate Communities
Humor and storytelling are used to examine the role of compassion in schools and society. Participants acquire concrete tools they can use to build a better community — the way they want to see it. Laughter and truth, together.
